HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A mother and her two children were hit by a car in Tampa on Tuesday morning.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mohr Road and Sheldon Road in Tampa.
When deputies arrived at the crash scene, they said they found a woman and her two children suffering from injuries.
Deputies began rendering aid and called emergency services to the scene.
The 6-year-old died shortly after due to their injuries.
The mother and her other child were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver was also taken to a hospital.
The sheriff's office will give an update on the crash at 11 a.m.
