NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Stryker the Harbor Seal is back at it again with yet another weather prediction this Friday at Aquarium of Niagara.
This will be Stryker's sixth year predicting if the winter weather will be cold or frigid, and so far, he's been correct every year.
Third graders from Harry F. Abate Elementary School will be joined by Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino to cheer on Stryker. Afterward, students will take part in STEM and weather-related activities inside the aquarium.
In 2024, Stryker predicted a "frigid" winter. The National Weather Service later confirmed lower-than-average temperatures across the region, despite forecasts calling for a warmer season.
