The air at Ambikagiri Nagar in Guwahati was thick with emotion, but at the same time resonating with the soft melodies of the flute, the instrument that had carried the soul of Dipak Sarma across hearts and borders.

Hundreds of fans, fellow artists, and cultural icons gathered to pay their final respects, playing the flute as they accompanied the mortal remains of the internationally acclaimed flutist to his home.
