Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s capital city is set to host the 84th Indian Roads Congress (IRC) at Janata Maidan from November 6 to 10.

The five-day congress will see an extensive knowledge exchange on India’s road infrastructure in the presence of around 3,500 participants, comprising experts, scientists, engineers, academicians and administrators from across the country.

Union Road Transport and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the event, which will focus on innovation, technology and policy in road construction and maintenance.

This is the sixth time Odisha is hosting the IRC. Bhubaneswar last organised the congress in 2015, which was the 75th edition.
