FOREST CITY, N.C. —
Two people are in custody after a deadly home invasion in Rutherford County, North Carolina.
The Forest City Police Department said the home invasion happened just before 10 a.m. on Oct. 24 at a home on Harris Lee Drive.
When officers arrived and entered the home, they found 25-year-old Tyler Weaver dead on the floor.
Law enforcement then conducted an extensive search of the wooded area surrounding the home and canvassed the neighborhood in an effort to find any suspects and ensure the safety of others in the area.
Following the search, investigators believed the suspects had fled the area after the invasion.
On Tuesday, investigators announced two arrests in the case.
They said Jaquavious Antwan Craig, 26, of Grover, and Quitez Lamare Watkins, 35, of Lawndale,
