WAYNESVILLE, N.C. —
A woman and an infant were able to escape a home with an armed, barricaded man inside.
Waynesville police said they were called to a home Tuesday morning on Fargo Lane.
Before officers arrived, they were told a person inside had fired a gun and could still be armed.

They said a woman and infant were able to make it out and meet with officers.
A negotiation team responded and the person inside, identified as Christopher Lee Ramey, 30, surrendered.
Ramey is charged with going armed to the terror of the people, discharging a firearm inside city limits, and resisting, delaying, and obstructing.
Ramey is currently being held at the Haywood County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond.
