The United Kingdom commends Mongolia’s commitment to democratic principles and the protection of human rights. We are proud of our partnership with Mongolia, grounded in shared democratic values, open societies, a deepening economic relationship and commitment to upholding international law.

We welcome anti-discrimination legislation protecting LGBT+ individuals and encourage Mongolia to build on this important step through stronger enforcement of this legislation and the adoption of more inclusive policies. We also recognise positive steps taken to tackle domestic violence and encourage Mongolia to take further action by improving police training, coordination and support services.
