Panjab University (PU) and Chandigarh University (CU) have both registered impressive performances in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, underscoring Chandigarh’s growing presence in Asia’s higher education landscape.

PU recorded a significant improvement in its overall score, rising from 31.3 in 2025 to 42.6 in 2026, and secured the 276th rank in Asia. Although its position shifted marginally due to a larger pool of participating institutions, PU’s gains across all key indicators reflect steady academic and research advancement.
