Adding to the list of prescribed burns planned for this week , the Kaibab National Forest will conduct a 6,600-acre broadcast burn north of Kendrick Mountain beginning Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Smoke from the fire will likely be “very noticeable” along Highway 180 to the east and Highway 64 to the west, according to the Kaibab National Forest, as well as in Williams, Parks and Spring Valley. Drivers should use caution and drive with heightened awareness when passing through or near active project areas.
