JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - Matthew Carter, a Jefferson County teacher, has been suspended, according to Director of Schools Dr. Tommy Arnold. He was suspended after being charged with driving under the influence Sunday, Arnold said.
Carter is the physical education teacher at Mount Horeb Elementary School. He also coaches softball at Jefferson County High School.
Arnold said he was suspended pending an investigation into what happened Sunday night.
