GOSHEN – Junior midfielder Aaron Schulman had a goal and an assist to lead top-seeded Cornwall to a 2-1 win over Warwick on Monday night in the Section 9 Class AA boys’ soccer championship game.
Kaiden Petruzzi added a goal for Cornwall (15-1-1), which won its second Section 9 title in three years. Petruzzi opened the scoring for the Green Dragons with 36:25 remaining in regulation, and Schulman added a goal 12 minutes later. Schulman has 20 goals and 15 assists on the season.
Joel Andoh scored for third-seeded Warwick (13-5), which beat previously undefeated Wallkill, the second seed, in the semifinals. Hudson Lopez was credited with the assist. Brett Zimmer made six saves for Cornwall.
