A Montgomery man is charged with two counts of assault after a woman and juvenile female were shot in what police are calling a domestic violence-related incident.

On Nov. 3, at about 3:15 p.m., police went to the 2200 block of Eastern Boulevard on a report of a shooting, said Lt. Ernestina McGriff, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. They found a woman who had suffered life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound and a juvenile female who suffered non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound, McGriff said. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police have arrested Torian Mitchell, 20, and charged him with two counts of assault, McGriff said. He was placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under bonds totaling $60,000, jail records show. More:
