SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — ARUP Blood Services is asking blood and platelet donors to bring coats and used winter clothing items to help out local charities.

Due to record breaking rain, ARUP Blood Services is hosting a coat drive in November and asking donors for coats, scarves, or gloves as donations.

Donations can be dropped off at: • 9786 South 500 West, Sandy • 565 Komas Drive, Salt Lake City

ARUP Blood Services is the sole provider to the University of Utah Health and the Huntsman Cancer Institute, giving over 25,000 blood products to the institute.

The service is asking those who have never donated blood before, or those who haven’t given recently, to make an appointment.
