PAPILLION, Neb. (WOWT) - Union Omaha has announced their latest head coach, the third in club history.
Union Omaha announced Tuesday that Vincenzo Candela, who was previously the interim coach for the Owls, will take the reins in the full-time position.
Candela was made the interim coach after the previous coach, Dominic Casciato, was transferred to the Tamp Bay Rowdies .
In his time as the interim coach, Candela has led the Owls to a 10-4-5 record in USL League One play, putting up 1.82 goals a game, good for 2nd in League One.
“Vincenzo has been everything we look for in a Union Omaha coach,” said sporting director Jamie Henderson.
