MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - New details have emerged leading up to the shooting involving Memphis Safe Task Force members on Halloween and the arrest of 18-year-old Marquis Davis .

Action News 5 has learned the person who was allegedly shot by Davis was an employee of the Exoctic Smoke Shop.

According to the arrest documents, Davis took $370 from the business after firing shots at the victim. He fled towards the nearby Corky’s BBQ when he was shot and captured by Safe Task Force members.

Witnesses on scene told Action News 5 they saw the suspect leaving in a hurry and had dropped money on the ground. One witness said they found the employee lying in floor with a gunshot wound to her stomach.

Law enforcement also found a black handgun with an extended magazine on scene.
