The Sylvania Board of Education on Monday is expected to name Assistant Superintendent Tim Zieroff the school system’s next superintendent, effective Aug. 1.
He will replace Veronica Motley, who has served as superintendent since 2020. She is retiring effective July 31, according to a release from the district.
Mr. Zieroff brings 28 years of service in education, including the past 15 years in Sylvania Schools. In his previous district, he served as a teacher, athletic director, and dean of students.
Since joining Sylvania Schools, he has served as assistant principal and principal of Arbor Hills Junior High before his current role as assistant superintendent, a position he has held for the past nine years.
