The Chicago Bears have added more depth to their front seven, acquiring former first-round pick and veteran defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka in a deal with the Cleveland Browns.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bears acquired Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and a seventh-round pick from Cleveland in exchange for a sixth-round draft selection. Tryon-Shoyinka’s arrival comes after Chicago lost standout defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo for the season with a torn Achilles in their Week 9 road win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Browns signed Tryon-Shoyinka in free agency after he completed his rookie deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He spent most of his snaps on the Browns’ special teams department and logged nine tackles.
