One woman dead following mobile home fire in Wisconsin

COMSTOCK, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities say a Wisconsin woman was found dead in her mobile home following a fire the afternoon before Halloween.

According to a release from the Barron County Sheriff's Office, deputies, along with the Cumberland Fire Department, Cumberland Ambulance, and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, responded at 3:18 p.m. on October 30 to a report of a fire on the 1800 block of US Highway 63 in Comstock.

Once on scene, officials say they found a mobile home on fire and, after extinguishing the fire, they found the body of a woman. The dead woman was identified as Dawn Allen from Comstock.

At this time, no other information is available and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
