The Red Sox have signed outfielder Jarren Duran to a one-year contract. The deal is for $7.7 million, the Globe’s Alex Speier reported. Duran could make an additional $75,000 in performance bonuses.
Duran, 29, appeared in 157 games in 2025, batting .256 with 41 doubles, 13 triples, 16 home runs, 86 runs, 84 RBIs, and 24 stolen bases. He led the American League in triples, while ranking third in doubles and sixth in extra-base hits (70).
Duran’s best season was in 2024, when he led the league in doubles (48) and triples (14) and was selected for the All-Star Game. He won the Ted Williams Award as the Most Valuable Player of the American League’s 5-3 victory after he hit the winning home run, a two-run blast in the fifth inning.
