BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Brown County Rifle Range held an open house on Tuesday morning to highlight its operations ahead of the 9-day gun deer season later in November.

According to a release, the public Rifle Range opens daily for hunters and enthusiasts every year from November 1 until Day 1 of the 9-day gun deer season, which begins on November 22.

Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach said in the release that the rifle range helps people properly sight their gun, which is crucial during the hunting season.

"Properly sighting in your firearm is an important aspect for any hunt, both for other hunters in the field and the potential harvest of an animal," Streckenbach said via the release. "It is always enjoyable to be outdoors and test your marksmanship."
