The Barrington High School boys and girls cross country teams placed in the top-six spots at the state championship meets on Saturday, Nov. 1.

The BHS boys team finished in fifth place with 128 points, while the Barrington girls finished sixth in their race.

The Barrington High School boys team place all seven runners in the top-53 spots. Colby Napolitano finished seventh overall, completing the challenging course at Ponaganset High School in 16:03.36. Ryan Hurlock finished 24th with a time of 16:55.47, and Vlad Horvatic finished 29th with a time of 17:06.05. Neal Bansal finished 32nd overall, while Barrington freshman Calvin Mentzer finished 41st and fifth for the team. Austin McCarty raced to a 46th place finish and Sam Spencer was 53rd.
