Florida football kicker Trey Smack isn't intimidated when called upon to attempt field goals of 50 yards or more.

"A 50-yarder is like is a PAT to me," Smack said. "I feel like I have more room to work with the ball when I have that much space because the ball will travel a little bit more on the way down, than it would at the apex."

Smack kicked his way into the Florida Gators record books on Nov. 1 by connecting on his ninth field goal of 50 or more yards in his UF career, a 54-yarder that put Florida up 20-17 against rival Georgia.

The nine field goals of 50 yards or more is the most of any kicker in Florida history. That's a notable feat considering UF has produced a lineage of NFL kickers that includes Evan McPherson, Eddy Pineiro, Caleb Sturgis and Jeff Chandler.
