The National Weather Service released a wind advisory at 1:09 p.m. on Tuesday valid for Wednesday between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.
"West to northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph expected," adds the weather service. "The highest wind gusts will be located near the lakeshore late Wednesday afternoon and evening."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," explains the weather service. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution."
