Cambridgeshire locals could be affected by bus strikes in the near future, as Stagecoach staff are set to vote for whether they want to take strike action over pay. 350 Stagecoach drivers and engineers based in Cambridge , Peterborough , and Fenstanton will be voting over the next few weeks after rejecting a two-year pay deal.

Unite, the UK's leading union, said the pay deal "does not reflect the rising cost of living and demands of the job". Stagecoach workers earn £15.60 an hour and were offered a two-year pay deal of four percent in year one and three percent in year two.
