Losing vision can lead to many other losses. We give up our car keys. Everyday tasks around the house become more difficult. Reading a book becomes listening to a book. But with some modifications to equipment or the environment, we may not have to give up some of the sports activities we enjoy. These types of changes are known as adaptive recreation. For persons with vision loss, there are a variety of activities that can be easily adapted to allow us to take part.
