BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) - A Bettendorf man will spend 25 years in prison after shooting at two officers, hitting one.
Jamey Myles, 24, was sentenced Oct. 29 to 25 years in prison after a domestic incident on May 21.
The officer was struck while police were trying to get children out of the house, police said in the criminal complaint. The children were in the line of fire but weren’t injured.
When officers arrived, Myles was at the bottom of a staircase with a weapon. He raised the weapon despite being ordered to drop it, and the officer was shot twice, according to the criminal complaint.
