To the editor,

To all the readers of the Grand Forks Herald and the Forum newspaper in Fargo, I want to reassure all of our American friends that we will always be friends regardless of what transpires in the next two years and beyond.

It is very noticeable of the very serious decline of traffic at our main border crossing in Manitoba at the Pembina/Emerson crossing which seriously affects my province and your state in trade, commerce and friendship. I know many Canadians feel as I do that when things settle down things will return to normal travel between both of our countries.

On a personal basis, as a Canadian, I miss my weekends in Grand Forks and Fargo. We have many American friends who we miss visiting with us, and us with them, and I know they feel the same as regards to the pres
