CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — In the Charlotte Mayor's race, incumbent Democrat Vi Lyles faces two challengers, Republican Terrie Donovan and Libertarian Rob Yates.
The Charlotte City Council also has notable races, including District 3, which mostly covers the city's west side. Democrat Joi Mayo won her primary election over incumbent Tiawana Brown, who faced controversy earlier this year when she was hit with a federal indictment for fraud.
