A 23-year-old Oak Park man has been charged with first degree murder for allegedly shooting and killing his 26-year old brother on Sunday, officials said.
Miles Quincy Brooks allegedly shot and killed his brother, Anthony Brooks, during an altercation at their residence in the 400 block of South Ridgeland where the brothers lived together, according to police reports. Brooks was officially charged Tuesday, said Dan Yopchick, a spokesman for the village of Oak Park.
Reports indicate Oak Park police officers went to the scene after a witness in the multifamily complex called 911.
