BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - LSU has named Verge Ausberry as its permanent athletic director, according to a report from The Advocate newspaper.

The report says that newly named LSU President Wade Rousse made the decision.

Ausberry was previously named to the position on an interim basis after LSU and former Athletic Director Scott Woodward parted ways.
