A Milliken woman was found guilty of drug distribution Friday in relation to a fentanyl overdose in Fort Collins earlier this year.

An 8th Judicial District Court jury found 45-year-old Brittney Mortimer guilty of distribution of a controlled substance (fentanyl) causing death, a class one drug felony; two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (fentanyl), a class three drug felony; and distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a class three drug felony, according to court records.

Officers found Edward Dzienowski dead from a fentanyl drug overdose when conducting a family requested welfare check in February at his Fort Collins apartment, a release stated.
