AMES, Iowa —
We now know the first of two finalists to become Iowa State University's next president.

Benjamin Houlton, the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University, is the first candidate to be publicly named.
Houlton will participate in a public forum from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday in the Durham Great Hall of the Memorial Union on Iowa State's campus.
The Board of Regents previously narrowed the list to three candidates last week. One of the three candidates dropped out shortly after, cutting the list to two .
The other finalist has not yet been publicly identified. They will hold a public forum from 4-5 p.m. Thursday in the same location as Houlton's Wednesd
