TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City-based Hagerty Insurance announced Tuesday they would implement an in-person work policy, changing a remote-first work policy that began during the Covid pandemic.

The company said in a statement that around 500 employees would work in the office three days a week starting in spring 2026.

The requirement appeared only apply to workers already in the Grand Traverse region.

Hagerty said in a statement that more in-person work would simplify communications across the company.
