It’s hard to see him way back there, but that’s Kyler Murray on the bench now.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon just announced that Jacoby Brissett, not Murray, will be the Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback moving forward.
The immediate reports made it sound like this was a play-based decision.
Which it should be. That would be smart.
Because Kyler Murray has been terrible. Brissett has actually beaten a team lately.
But alas, subsequently, the verbiage coming out of Arizona is that they are buying more time for Murray’s foot to heal, with a new timetable of 4-8 weeks yada yada.
But then Gannon also revealed that even a healthy Murray wouldn’t start over Brissett right now.
