Seattle police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted an 88-year-old woman outside her South Seattle home last month.

The woman was “brutally assaulted” while cleaning some household items on the back porch of her home in the 9900 block of 64th Avenue South on Oct. 13, according to a police blotter.

The man stole her jewelry and bit off her finger during the attack, police said. The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious head injuries.

The woman told officers that “she thought he [the suspect] was going to try to kill her,” police said.

The Seattle Medium identified the woman as Emma Cotton, president of Mount Zion’s Senior Ministry.

Investigators are looking for a suspect in his 30s. Surveillance video shows him wearing all black clothing.
