IDAHO, USA — Skiers and snowboarders have a lot to look forward to this winter , as several Idaho resorts are adding new runs, lifts and terrain ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Sun Valley Resort is unveiling 90 acres of new advanced terrain. The expansion offers four new runs and supports forest health while supplying heating firewood to the Shoshone-Bannock and Shoshone-Paiute tribes.
The resort has also launched new ski and ride clinics, plus “Sunny’s Adventure Park” on Dollar Mountain for younger visitors. Sun Valley plans to open Nov. 27.
At Tamarack Resort, about 60 acres of new terrain are being developed where the Rock Fire burned this summer. The new area will cater to advanced skiers and riders. Tamarack also regraded its main green run, added snowmaking guns, upgraded lifts
