Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi was helped from the field in tears after having his ankle rolled over by a wild tackle by Bayern Munich 's Luis Díaz on Monday at the Parc des Princes.
Díaz had scored twice for Bayern in the first half of the Champions League match between the two table-topping sides before making a rash challenge from behind on Hakimi that earned the Bayern winger a straight red card after a VAR review.
Bayern went on to win the game 2-1 to move into first in the Champions League league phase table.
Earlier in the first half, Ousmane Dembélé was withdrawn from the match after scoring what looked to be the game's opening goal. As the goal was checked by the VAR, the France international looked to be in discomfort.
The goal was ruled out for offside
