Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was not shy on Tuesday about the team making a potential trade. While the team did sign wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Tomlin says that move does not preclude the team from making a trade for a wide receiver.
“He’s just a practice squadder right now. We’ll get him in the fold and get him working and check his overall level of conditioning, how he learns and some of those things,” Tomlin said.
As for what Tomlin’s thoughts on the deadline are, he gave a nod and smile to the potential of adding another talented piece to the wide receiver room.
“We’ll see. I like shopping,” Tomlin said with a grin.
