HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — Police documents offer new details about the Henderson County triple homicide in which police say a man killed and injured multiple family members in October.
Kimberly Simpson, 51, Connie Patrick, 72, and Ronny Hammonds, 57, were all killed at a home off Taos Drive in the Cedar Creek Cove Subdivision in the Payne Springs area on Oct. 17. Two others, Colten Reid, 24, and Henry Hopgood, 70, were injured as a result of the same shooting. As of the most recent update, Colten Reid and Hopgood were recovering.
After the shooting, Christopher Kyle Reid Jr., 29, who was identified as the suspect, later drove to Ennis, ran into a Buc-ee's and a pedestrian, and shot himself. He later died from his own gunshot wound, according to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office.
