The Penguins, who were banged up and beaten down during the four-game road trip they wrapped up Monday in Toronto, made a flurry of roster moves Tuesday.
Tristan Jarry and forwards Justin Brazeau and Noel Acciari went on injured reserve.
Young defenseman Owen Pickering was sent back to the American Hockey League.
And with Jarry on the shelf, the Penguins have called up top goalie prospect Sergei Murashov from their AHL club. He was just named the AHL’s goalie of the month.
Oh, and veterans Ryan Graves and Danton Heinen are now back in Pittsburgh, too.
Whew.
That was a lot.
Jarry and Acciari both played in Monday’s meltdown in Toronto, though it is unclear how each got injured. Acciari left in the first period. Jarry played the whole game.
