Officials are desperately trying to track down a mystery Sydneysider who has won the entire $20 million Oz Lotto prize.

A ticket purchased at a Sydney newsagency was the only division one winner in last night's Oz Lotto draw, but the buyer remains unidentified.

It is not known if they are a local resident or a visitor from elsewhere.

The winning ticket was purchased at Broadway Newsagency in the centre of Sydney, but because the person who purchased the ticket isn't a member of The Lott Members Club, officials have no way of contacting them to inform them that they now have a life-changing sum of money.

"It's possible this mystery winner is waking up and heading to work with no idea they've scored $20 million," The Lott's Khat McIntyre said.
