Tom Brady claims he was able to clone his late dog, Lua .
The former New England Patriots quarterback and current FOX broadcaster revealed Tuesday in a statement with Colossal Biosciences — a company he is an investor in — that he was able to collect blood from Lua before she died in 2023.
Shortly after Lua died, Brady got Junie — a dog that looks strikingly similar to Lua.
“A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of our family’s elderly dog before she passed," Brady said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE .
Colossal — known for its de-extinction efforts — gave Brady and his family “a second chance with a clone of our beloved dog.”
