The polls closed at 7 p.m. across Greenville as city residents will decide who they want to represent them on the city council.
This year's municipal election had three Greenville City Council seats on the ballot, however, only two of those races were contested. Democrat Lillian Brock Flemming competed against Republican Mike Kilgore to keep her District 2 seat. Newcomers Tina Belge and Matt Alexander faced off for one of the at-large seats. The District 4 seat was up for reelection as well, but current council member Wil Brasington was unopposed.
