ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — The push to bring ESPN’s College GameDay to one of college football’s most unique rivalries is gaining some momentum.
The Battle of the Ravine rivalry takes place on opposite sides of Highway 7. Fans and students from both Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State gathered Tuesday on the road that divides them, hoping to show ESPN the uniqueness of the closest rivalry in college football.
The campaign has been in effect on social media after comments made by College GameDay host Rece Davis, who said two weeks ago in an interview that he was pitching the game for the national broadcast. His remarks have since spread widely across social media.
“He said he is really interested in doing this, but the stars need to align, and today was us helping the stars align,” said Hender
