SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Customers who lost thousands of dollars when LoveOurRoof suddenly closed will receive refunds following a legal settlement with the Missouri Attorney General’s office.

The Springfield roofing company shut down in 2021 after customers paid thousands in deposits for work that was never completed.

The Missouri Attorney General sued the out-of-state owners following the closure. One owner paid restitution and was dismissed from the case. The other owner repeatedly failed to appear in court until recently.

Jim Harding has agreed to pay $40,000 in restitution to affected customers. If he fails to make the payments, he will face additional penalties.

The settlement also permanently bans Harding from operating another roofing business in Missouri.
