A 15-year-old boy from Mount Joy was charged by police after he put younger children in a headlock until they couldn’t breathe and yelled racial slurs at them, according to police.
Police charged the teen with four counts each of aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault and disorderly conduct as well as harassment charges. The charges were filed in the juvenile system so the suspect’s name and more details about the crime were not available because juvenile court records are not public.
Police said the teen was playing basketball with four victims, ages nine, ten and eleven, at their apartment complex. After the game, the 15-year-old started yelling racial slurs at the victims and put each of them in a headlock until they could not breathe. While he was doing this, the other vic
