BOSTON —
Boston City Councilor Liz Breadon is speaking out after multiple employees of a car wash in Allston Village were allegedly detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Tuesday morning.
Breadon said the incident occurred at the Allston Car Wash on Cambridge Street.
According to a statement she posted to social media, eight employees of the car wash were taken into ICE custody.
NewsCenter 5 has reached out to ICE for confirmation they conducted an operation at the business, but have not heard back.
"My understanding is that those detained were not permitted by ICE to retrieve their documents from their work lockers during the raid," Breadon said. "This is kidnapping — plain and simple."
She called the alleged raid "horrifying," and accused both ICE and the Trump adm
