No. 6 Iowa City Regina’s Iowa high school volleyball state tournament run was cut short at the hands of No. 3 Hinton on Nov. 4.

The Regals (30-14) fell to the Blackhawks in four sets (18-25,17-25, 25-20, 23-25) in the Class 2A quarterfinals at Xtream Arena.

"We got to give a lot of credit to Hinton — we came in with a game plan to shut (Hinton senior) Bailey Boeve down and she wasn't stopped and she's kind of ... unstoppable," said Regina junior Addison Bollier. "We were gritty. I think we gave them a game. We came back from two sets down to win a set and get a set off of them, which I think shows a lot of courage and grittiness."
