The Baltimore City Council’s Public Safety Committee, chaired by Councilman Mark Conway, held a hearing Tuesday afternoon geared towards improving police oversight practices and communication between departments. The hearing brought together the Baltimore Police Department (BPD), the Police Accountability Board (PAB), the Administrative Charging Committee (ACC), and the Office of Equity and Civil Rights (OECR).

Deputy Police Commissioner Brian Nadeau as well as the five-member ACC revealed data when it came to top BPD Misconduct allegations that they’ve heard.

The category of “Other” (42 types of allegations) was the highest percentage heard YTD at 30%. Failure to operate Body Worn Camera as required came in second at 25%.
