In a social media post, the Broadway Market has said that "this event is in no way shape or form associated with the Market."

The market believes that the post may have been targeting vendors to coerce them into sending money for the fake event. They say that any event hosted by the market will only by posted to the Broadway Market's official social media pages, and every event graphic will have the City of Buffalo seal on them.
